May 2008 - Super Abrasives Engineering was in attendance at the MAG Asia Pacific Sales & Marketing Conference, which was held at The Hilton, Singapore. This three-day event covered areas such as market analyses of the Asia Pacific region, MAG product updates as well as various upcoming MAG marketing plans on the regional and global scale.




February 2008 - Super Abrasives Engineering, a channel partner of MAG, attended the Singapore Airshow event from February 19th to February 24th at the Changi Exhibition Centre. This 6-day event managed to draw 800 exhibiting companies from 42 different countries, with more than 30,000 trade visitors from over 100 countries.




November 2007 - Held at the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre from 15 to 18 November, Metalex housed over 3,900 new metalworking tools and technologies spanning across 11 international pavillions. With the theme 'The World of Machine Tools Empowering ASEAN Manufacturing', the 21st edition of Metalex attracted 50,000 Thai and ASEAN buyers and a sum of over 4 billion baht worth of business value was predicted to have been generated from the show.




May 2007 - A Memorandum of Understanding for Technical Assistance and Cooperation was signed between Michael Deckel, Super Abrasives and Universiti Teknikal Melaka (UTeM) for the development, design and manufacture of high precision cutting tools for the machining of aerospace components.




March 2007 - A Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Michael Deckel & Super Abrasives with the German Malaysian Institute (GMI) whereby Michael Deckel will provide GMI with one unit of the latest fully equipped Michael Deckel 5-Axes CNC Tool & Cutter Grinding Machine for a loan period of one year with the aim of providing support for the development of technical knowhow of Malaysia’s future generation in tool & cutter technology. Prior to the delivery of the machine, engineers & technicians from GMI underwent 8 weeks of in-house training at Super Abrasives in Singapore. After the successful installation & commissioning of the machine in September 2006, Super Abrasives continues to provide regular servicing & maintenance of the machine as well as regular updates on grinding technology & knowhow to GMI.
